Andy Murray to continue comeback at Eastbourne
Former world number one Andy Murray has accepted a wildcard into Eastbourne as he continues his comeback from a hip injury, the BBC report.
The tournament at Eastbourne is the final chance the Scot will get to warm-up before Wimbledon begins at the beginning of July.
Murray is still unsure if he will compete at Wimbledon, after making his competitive return on Tuesday at Queen’s, where he lost in three sets to Australian Nick Kyrgios.
The 31-year-old, who has won Wimbledon twice, said after the defeat that he wasn’t sure in what step to take next as he eases himself back into competitive tennis.
Murray, who was on the court for almost three hours in the defeat to Kyrgios, has dropped to 156th in the world rankings following his lengthy lay off.
Fellow Brit’s Cameron Norrie, Kyle Edmund, Johanna Konta and Heather Watson are also set to compete in the event.
