Andy Murray’s mother Judy, says her son is making progress to be fit for the grass-court season.
The Scotsman has not played competitively since last year’s Wimbledon Championship and he underwent hip surgery in January.
According to a report from BBC Sport, Judy says that Andy he is doing everything he can to be fit and that he will return very soon.
His goal was always to be ready for the grass-court season and, fingers crossed, that will happen. I’m sure when he’s got some news he will share that.
Murray himself said in January that he would only return to competitive games once he is completely fit and ready.
The former world number one was due to appear in the new ATP Challenger Tour event in Loughborough later this month, but setbacks in his recovery have delayed his return.
The first event Murray has set his sights on returning to is the grass court tournament in Rosmalen in the Netherlands, from 11th to 17th June.
