Novak Djokovic jokes he is still recovering from 2012 final
Novak Djokovic has cheekily claimed the reason for his and long term rival Rafael Nadal’s recent injuries, the Express report.
The Serbian has jokingly stated that the pair haven’t recovered from their epic Australian Open final in 2012, which lasted just short of six hours, making it the longest final in Grand Slam history,
He posted a video on social media of the pair back in 2012 after the final, with the comment, ‘no wonder we need rehab now’.

Djokovic, 30, is a 12-time Grand Slam winner, however, the former world number one has struggled for form over the past 12 months, mainly due to an elbow and has recently suffered a recurrence of the problem against Hyeon Chung at this years Australia Open.
Current world number one Nadal, is set to lose the spot to Roger Federer, if the Swiss international can make it to the semi-finals at the Rotterdam Open.
Nadal isn’t expected to return to action until later this month as he recovers from a thigh injury.
